To continue the story of how this story came to be. I placed third in the Sequent Media Prophecy Magazine Graphic Novel contest (meaning I won nada and got a little mention on their website and a complimentary anthology) The publisher Ken called me and said that he wanted to put it out because he thought it was a good story done in an interesting style. He introduced me to Doug the editor and after page six I began cranking it out.
It was 2004 and I had just quite the corporate meat grinder that is FedEx Management. My good friend Curt Neville had given me a job as a landscaper and I moved to Charleston SC. I toiled on this everyday after work for four hours at a time. It was exhausting but the time flew by. It was like I was in a trance. I worked feverishly every night trying to finish. All the while sending Doug the editor my progress and heeding his advice...Doug seemed to think it wasn't going to be big but it was a very entertaining story.
